Interdependence Day

Interdependence Day

Interdependence DayConnect to the Source this 4th of July

As we approach the long weekend, it occurs to me that all of the focus on independence could be overrated. What if we celebrated an interdependence day as we spend the precious weekend time with friends and family? None of us truly survive independently of the elements around us. We all are inextricably connected to the heat of the summer sun providing the digestive fire for our bellies, the wind caressing the interior of our lungs and the currents of water surging through our capillaries and veins. We are the Earthbody, a product of the interconnection of elements – the embodiment of the interdependence. So why would our social lives be any different?

This weekend, celebrate how deeply interconnected you are to the people you love and the people who care for you in return.  Sometimes it takes practice to learn how to relax and receive.  This July we’re featuring SHIATSU, an ancient form of bodywork that has its roots in Chinese Medicine balancing the body, mind and spirit, which is a microcosm of the world in which we live. This is a safe way to experience the interconnectedness of elements within your body.

When symptoms of fatigue and stress are relieved, new space is made for mental clarity and the rejuvenated consciousness that arises from it. Suddenly, new possibilities for interdependence begin to blossom. We believe the effects of massage can be profound, extending beyond physical nourishment of the body. For instance, how could you be more available to your loved ones without shoulder or neck pain? What necessary gifts would you offer up to your community if your headaches and eye-strain were eased, even just for a day? As the long weekend approaches, Earthbody is honored to help you celebrate your Interdependence with all things this July.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
