THE FULL LIST
Get a line free piece of paper, cut up a grocery bag or use a napkin. Find a few markers or crayons. Make a list of everything you are grateful for right now. Write continuously for 60 seconds. Do not stop writing. Fill this time completely. You may be surprised what comes through. You are, of course, welcome to exceed the 60 seconds! Remember like increases like. So if you behave in gratitude and joy you will feel gratitude and joy.

WALK FOR FREE
Going for a walk without an agenda or destination point can be extremely therapeutic. Especially after a treatment, it can support physical and mental integration as well as support the repatterning process after bodywork or skincare. So go for a walk for free – no purpose, no goal, no thought. Just walk.

SELF MASSAGE
Abhyanga or massage is a tradition found in India for curing a variety of diseases. Between your sessions at EarthBody, be sure to massage yourself! Using warm oil can be highly therapeutic and calming to the nervous system. It can support deep sleep, long limbs, hydration and nourishment for the tissues themselves.

  1. Use circular motions on shoulders, chest, and upper back
  2. Massage lower back in spirals away from the spine and then towards.
  3. Foot massage reaches all the organs so massage the feet with a balm, oil, or salve before bedtime to encourage deep sleep
  4. Face Massage is extremely healing for overworked muscles and to relieve headache and sinus pressure. Sunflower Oil or EarhBody’s HYDRATE facial serum can be used for facial massage. Work in circles and in an upward direction.
  5. Massage thighs, buttocks, arms, and neck.

Try oleating the body, then working out. Afterwards, a shower can be done. This allows the tissues to absorb the hydration of the oil and heal deep within. You can also self massage after a shower or before bedtime.

SLEEP + RISE EARLY
Routine can support health. As the season ebbs and flows, we can find balance by sleeping and rising with time. If possible, wrap up all mental activity by 8pm. Allow at least an hour for unwinding before sleep. A bedtime of 10pm is optimum to stay in relation to the cycle of the sun and moon.

To feel refreshed upon waking, rise at least 30 minutes before the sunrise. Meditate. Set intention. Be the calm the early mornings bring. Try this for a week and see how you feel. Continually sleeping in, though we may think allows for more rest, is in opposition to the energy of sunrise, of actually waking up. So try falling into the balance of the sun and moon with a simple dedication of sleep early and rise early.

It can be normal to experience some aches, discomfort, or heightened sensitivity in your body after a massage. Staying hydrated and using our suggestions on this page can help to support your body’s process. If you have any questions, or concerns please contact us, or consult your doctor.
